Technically everything in vector art that looses quality when resizing is called "vexels". So both vectored/vexeled photos and traced anime images are vexels.
I, however, don't dig into that stuff and call my works both vexels and vectors.
I've seen people bitching about these terms but I see no big difference, it's just a few letters :s
