The thing you said about vexels.net is also wrong, because people there use cell
shading with no multiple layers, too. If you had joined vexels.net when it was
opened (which I did) you would know that there are NO vectors in the MT gallery,
all of them are vexels. Vexels.net's aim was to destroy the usage of the vector
term in the raster world (rhyme was not intended!).
In a few words: your definition of a vexel is extra shaky (earthquake). Vexels
(style) and vectors (medium) are only different because the later one can be
resized without quality loss, that's the only difference.
I rest my case, I won't be barging in anymore, sorry.
P.s. I sound like a term freak, don't I? And I don't even care which word I use
in my descriptions ^^;

defines what vexel really is, and my definition on it can be as shaky as
earthquake. But it's safe to put in that way, shading with multiple layers is
indeed what vexel really is in my eye. Probably Linda doesn't care on the usage
of multiple layers, but I do. And that's it, my shaky project.
And indeed, MT's definition on vector art isn't good enough. If they put the
term vexel on first choice, I wouldn't even care to argue on this. Even with the
usage of brushes is acceptable here, and you can go on blast with thousands of
favs. I guess each site has different view on what vector or vexel is.
Vexels.net is fine to me, but we aren't at Vexels.net right now. People's view
on vexel here is slightly different (eg. multiple layers of shading), and it's
really hard to destroy vector term in this raster world at MT.

Oh, sorry I didn't mean to make it sound like you put no effort. I think you put more
effort than I could ever muster. You did an awesome job with the girl. I was
just saying that the styles of the girl and the background were a little off.
Take the butterfly for example, when the shade of purple changes, it's 'smooth';
it almost impossible to tell each tint apart. And with the eye shadow of the
girl (for example) you can see the different tints of dark green as it gets
lighter; you can define each tint pretty clearly as it gets lighter.
